You had managed to make your way to your history class, which started with that same one-sided introduction. You actually loved that subject, but this time, you had some trouble catching up. Mostly because you haven't really heard any of England's history in as much detail as you were presented that day, but you still thanked your past curiosity for reading a bunch of UK history-related stuff, so you could still follow most of the time.

Finally, a very loud glass chime echoed through the school, which meant that this class was now over. You remembered that Lizzie told you that she'll wait for you. You just hoped she meant it, not letting you there to stand alone like a fool.

You stood up, collected your things and headed towards the door. You sighed in relief: she was there, but with another girl as well. She had shoulder-length blonde hair with a cute bow on one side. Nonetheless, you walked over to the both of them.

"Oh, hey, [Name]! This is Lilly. Lilly, this is [Name], the transfer student." exclaimed Elizabeta, when you were just beside her.

"Hi, nice to make your acquaintance" you said with a sincere smile, slightly and swiftly bowing your head.

"Nice to meet you too" she replied, a cute smile adoring her face as well.

You then looked at your feet, uncomfortable to be with people you barely knew....

"So...... What now?" you risked, attempting to break the uncomfortable silence that reigned between the three of you.

"We'll go to lunch! We usually go to the cafeteria...." started Lizzie.

"Fine by me!" you chirped, lifting your head to look at them.

The three of you went there, bought your lunch and ate in an interesting silence: you kept staring at either your hands or your [Favourite Food]. You tried to start a conversation once or twice, but they always ended in failure, since the two girls mostly had no idea want you were talking about.

Ever wondered why you hung out more with guys than girls? Because you were a gamer, didn't care for teen heartthrobs, weren't exactly a fan of shopping..... What else could you talk about? You knew practically nothing about the girly world, except the famous stereotypes, but you never relied yourself on any of them, yourself breaking that "supposed rule"..... You wished you brought Alfred with you, like he begged before you left...

You sighed. The two girls glanced at you, wondering what you were thinking about. You wished you could talk to your best friends right now..... It was noon here, so it was seven in the morning for them. You remembered that huge, kick-ass going-away party that Alfred and Matthew threw just for you the weekend before you left......

You sighed again, your lips curled into a smirk, as you remembered that Alfred tried to force you to play seven minutes in heaven; you begrudgingly accepted. You actually picked your obnoxious friend and he ran off in the closet. You asked Matthias if he could go in your stead, and, after promising to bake a huge cake just for him and a kiss on his cheek, he finally accepted. You remembered Alfie's tantrum when he realized two seconds afterwards that it wasn't you. You were laughing so hard, you thought you were going to die..... Which probably is what fate would have awaited you if you hadn't lain low with Matthew for awhile. You still have to bake that cake though.....

You noticed the two girls staring when you snapped out of your reverie.

"What were you thinking about?" asked Lilly.

"My friends from home.... They threw me a huge party before I left. I don't think I ever laughed that much in my life..." you explained, that same distant look reappearing within your eyes. Another smirk decorated your face.

"What happened?" inquired Lizzie of you.

"I made a silly promise I have to keep......" you vaguely replied, that same smile still lingering on your lips, not wanting to embarrass Alfred even if you were across the ocean.... You never know!

While you were zoned out again, Lilly nudged Lizzie.

"Is she always gonna be with us? She's really nice, but she's distant.... Like Arthur" she whispered.

"I don't know... I'll ask her, if you want"

"No, I don't want her to think I don't like her, 'cause I do like her, but...."

"Yeah...?"

"Hey girls?" you asked, looking back at them once you got back on Earth since you finished eating. "You're really sweet and nice and all, but I think I'll just disturb your usual social life if I stay..." you confessed

"No, not at all!" replied a smiling Lilly, herself feeling bad and wondering if you heard them. "You can always hang out with us!"

"That's really nice, but, honestly, I get along better with guys... I just feel like me being new forces you to accept me, it's not what I want, sorry for being selfish....." you politely objected, looking back at your hands.

Elizabeta had that same smile she displayed when she saw you earlier that day. She also put her hand on your shoulder, which made you cross your gaze with her's.

"You don't force us, we just want to help! But if that's what you truly want, it's alright." she reasoned "You can always come to us if you need anything. We'll still be friends even if we don't really hang out, okay?" she added, wanting to make you less stressed about this whole "new school" thing.

You nodded, a smile plastered on your face. A grateful one. You stood up, bid them goodbye and left, putting your trash in it's rightful place on the way out.

People were still staring at you as you walked to your locker, which by now you kinda got accustomed to. Kinda. It was near the garden and secluded because of your tardiness in the year. The school officials had nowhere else to turn to, so they directed you towards an old, empty locker room.

You put the stuff you received in your two earlier classes, not noticing another presence hidden in the shadows of that same room. As you started to unpack, you started to softly sing parts of the first song that passed your brain, a hidden emerald gaze glued to you.

"And the rain falls down, let it fall to the ground
And the birds don't sing, no they don't make a sound
So I look to the sky, tell me why, tell me why
Do they all get to live and I have to die?

And the angels sing; let it shine, let it shine
Dry the teardrops from my eyes
And the bells will ring, when the blind lead the blind
'Cause the dead can't testify
And because I can't take an eye for an eye
In the afterlife I'll haunt you 'till you die!"

When your last note broke, you locked your locker again, blank agenda and pencil case in hand, and you headed out of the abandoned room. You walked up to a nearby table in the garden and put the notebook in front of you, your chin resting on your entwined hands, searching for something to draw on its cover. Nothing actually came to mind. You had a bunch of songs stuck in your head, which didn't help your case at all.... You sighed and closed your eyes, humming the same song you sang earlier.

The owner of the gaze that spied on you a few moments earlier stealthily walked out of the old locker room while stealing some furtive glances at you and sat on a bench not too far away from you as well. He kept that same, small habit that he adopted ever since he first saw you in English class. After a few seconds, he swiftly passed his hand in his messy blonde and green hair, stood up and walked away, feeling like an idiot.

You, on the other hand, didn't notice any of this. Your eyes were closed, anyways. You opened them and stared at the blank cover in front of you. You decided to artistically write the names and some parts of the multitude of songs that resonated in a cacophony in your mind. You drew like this until it was ten minutes before your next class.

You stood up and headed straight for it, music class, knowing you'll get your books from your teacher again. You sat at your designated place and continued decorating your agenda.

After a good five minutes, something close to everyone were waiting inside for class to start. The boy who spied on you earlier arrived and took his seat, which was across from you. He glanced at your direction again and shifted it at the subject of your recent interest: your work of art. Well, at least, that's what he thought. He forced himself to look back at his own stuff, not wanting to attract any attention, whether from you or his fellow classmates.

Class started and your teacher presented you as a new student, just like his predecessors did, but in more details.

"What's your favorite band?" asked your teacher.

"Hum.... That's a tough one....." you started. "Actually, I'm not so sure about that one..."

"Favorites, then." he replied

"I'd have to say..... Billy Talent, Linkin Park, Three Days Grace, Sum 41...... and 30 Seconds to Mars."

"Can I see your agenda?" he asked, a small smile monopolizing his lips.

"Hun? Why?" you asked. "Y-yeah, sure, if you wanna..."

You handed him your unfinished written drawing, wondering what was so interesting about it. You looked at him as he turned it in every possible directions, so he could read what you wrote. His smile morphed into a smirk.

"Would you rather sing..... "The Dead Can't Testify", "Screaming Bloody Murder" or "World So Cold"?"

"What?!" you objected. "Why?"

"Well, this is music class, we either play an instrument or we sing. We've only got one singer, Arthur, and another one would be delightful! A duo with the two of you would be so cute!" he justified, a smirk still dominating his features.

You frowned and looked at said guy, while he just glared at the teacher. He had an electric guitar leaning on his desk, so you assumed he also played with it. You had always wanted to play one, and Alfred and Matthew were actually teaching you while you were back home.....

"Aww, snap out of it, [Name]!" you thought. "I'll just practice at home until I see them in person again.... And this is my home from now on."

"Which one will it be, [Name]?" insisted your teacher. "It can be another one, though, if you want"

You sighed. No way out of this one, you thought. The whole room was in compleat silence, awaiting to hear you sing. You nervously cleared your throat and decided on a song. You kept staring at your hands, though.

"We're living underneath the land of sorrow
I can hear the bombs rain down
And how can I explain there's no tomorrow
I can hardly make a sound"

Your voice was a little shaky in the beginning, but as the strings of words escaped your mouth, they got stronger and assurance slowly, but surely, crept onto your perfectly hit notes.

"They're marching up the main street as my heart beat louder than machine guns fire
The sound of all the sirens sing like violins rattling the cold barbwire

A casualty of war, a victim of mistake
Another widow as been made

Dead silence, will come to rescue me
When violence, has took this world away
Dead silence,
I think we can't escape "till death do us part" in the end!"

A smile worked its way to your now almost confident lips, making the atmosphere around you softer; lighter. You tried to sweep your gaze across the music room, but you were still too nervous. None of that transpired within your angel-like voice now, though. Not even in the slightest.

"Fly away like the wind
Some things God can't forgive
Why is war just a fight
While the innocent die

It can tear us apart
I'll still live in your heart
If your spirit gives up
Don't surrender your love"

What you once failed, you tried again and succeeded. Your smile got even wider when you noticed that everyone else was grinning. That made your stress diminish and you sang a little louder, now that you were even more confident.

"And the world will survive
If we stand side by side
One day hope will arrive
Now I must say goodbye"

Your last note softly broke. You were a little scared of your teacher's verdict about your song. Truth is, you used to sing all the time with your three best friends; the twins played either the guitar or the base, and Matthias; the drums. That also helped your reputation in your former school. Your gaze darted yet again to your twitching hands, awaiting criticism, but none came; you heard clapping instead.

You lifted your head, looked at your teacher, who had a grin plastered on his face. A nervous one dominated yours.

"What a beautifully expressed noble lament!" he exclaimed.

Your gaze swiftly shifted back at your hands, your cheeks faintly burning by the compliment. An almost inaudible "thanks" that escaped from your own lips echoed through the still silence, temporarily breaking it. A burst of applause broke it in turn, which made you hide your face even further. Shyness that strong usually never overcame you, but now it finally did, and it curiously made you feel somehow better.

You bravely looked back at your teacher, and he childishly gave you an exaggerated grin and a "double thumbs up". You then looked over at that Arthur fellow, and you noticed he had a sweet smile on his features as well.
This is part 2...... obviously ..... ^w^

If you see any mistakes, please tell me. If you have any questions, ask away!

I noticed this later when i reread my first part, and it seems that Arthur's description could end in a misunderstanding due to my sometimes unclear writing: it's his hair that is green tipped, not his eyebrows, but if you prefer the latter, imagine what you like! ^w^

Sorry for making sweet, sweet Lilly wanna let you go, and you actually going, but I had to make you "friendless" (or almost) or else you wouldn't have had Arthur spying on you while you were alone, so I actually made you a favor!
[A.N. Actually, I had to do something about Elizabeta leaving you alone, and that was the nicest thing I could think of, but you can always imagine how it went however you'd like!] X3

The artists I chose are actually my favorites, but you can always imagine others (Except Ol' Billy, 'cause the two songs you sing are from them. [They're Canadian too!.....not that anyone cares....])

FYI:
World so Cold - Three Days Grace
Screaming Bloody Murder - Sum 41
The Dead Can't Testify - Billy Talent (First you sing)
Dead Silence - Billy Talent (Second you sing)

They are all really good! You should listen to at least one of them!![A.N. I've been hooked on "Screaming Bloody Murder" and "Skumf*k" since I first heard them.... from Sum 41 ^w^]

I OWN NOTHING EXCEPT THE IDEA BEHIND THE STORY ALONE. EVERYTHING GOES TO THEIR RIGHTFUL AND RESPECTFUL OWNERS. YOU BELONG TO YOU, I HOPE! X3

The image, I found it somewhere on the net. NOT MINE EITHER!
